Canteens, employee restaurants, cafeterias or tea kitchens play an important role for every company. They should invite employees to relax and unwind. The exchange between colleagues strengthens the working environment, which has positive effects on the productivity of the entire company.

that Cologne interior and architecture firm Lepel & Lepel likes to use Mosáico cement tiles for these feel-good areas in office buildings. The impressive projects of UFA cafeteria in Babelsberg And the Canteen of the Society for International Cooperation in Bonn I've already shown it here. Today I am presenting two tea kitchens in the Ruhr area. The architect and project manager of this new project, Mr. Boris Felsecker, underlined the look and feel as selection criteria. Thanks to the variety of patterns from all styles and their individually adaptable color combinations, cement tiles are visually suitable for any project, the feel of the satin matte surface is unique to floor coverings and gives off a special charm — even if you only rarely pet floors.

The team of architects and interior designers from Lepel & Lepel designed the new administration building of Emscher Lippe Energie GmbH in Gladbeck — ELE for short — a 5,200 m² gross floor area, modern building with flexible offices and communicative meeting and recreation rooms. The coloring was done in black and white contrast. In color psychology, black and white represent special values. Black symbolizes strength and elegance, while white is associated with clarity and professionalism. Together, the colors are the ideal combination to make a design look high-quality and elegant. At the same time, the black and white contrast creates tension and thus energy, which bridges the gap to the energy supplier.

The tea kitchens in the ELE building were also designed in black and white. that classic design The cement tiles, which look timelessly modern, give the three-dimensional appearance of stacked cubes. The graphic pattern in white, black and gray fits well into the overall concept of the building. The two compact tea kitchens were designed differently: one with black fronts and one with white fronts. In both cases, the pattern looks good and visually enlarges the rooms.

The photos were kindly provided by Mrs. Jessica Heberlein from ELE Facility Management. She emphasized that the tiles underline the special feature of tea kitchens as a visual focal point. In this way, the tiles give these compact spaces an unmistakable character.
